Programming
Formerly Senior Film Programmer for both the BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, I have extensive experience in film curation and exhibition, having programmed and presented a wide variety of work, from narrative features and documentaries, to shorts, animation and artist moving image work.
Whilst at BFI I also curated four major film seasons:
-
The Cult of John Carpenter (Oct-Nov 2016)
-
Stephen King on Screen (Sept 2018)
-
In Dreams Are Monsters (Oct-Dec 2022) Co-curated with Kelli Weston & Anna Bogutskaya.
-
Dario Argento: Doors Into Darkness (May 2023) Click video link to watch Strange Phenomena, the video essay I wrote and narrated to accompany this season.
In addition, I programmed BFI's monthly horror strand Terror Vision, featuring rarely screened titles such as Tanya Rosenberg's Blood Games, Narciso Ibáñez Serrador's The House That Screamed and Eckhart Schmidt's The Fan.
Beyond the BFI, I have hosted events and written copy for various other film festivals including Sundance London, Shock and Gore Film Festival and Vancouver Queer Film Festival, and have also served on several festival awards juries.
